Personal Injury

With respect to pursuing a significant personal injury claim, virtually all Defendants try to shift the blame to plaintiff, i.e The injured person caused or contributed to problem. Moreover, Defendants such as Casinos and Insurance Companies will try to intimidate a plaintiff and their Counsel.

The key to success is to be focused and steadily work to prove the case. Similarly, preparation for deposition is crucial. For example, in a personal injury lawsuit, Counsel for Defendant will ask about every part of anatomy and any possible pre-existing injury. Preparation helps so that you are prepared to give a direct and specific answer.

How you say something is just as important as what you say. A Defense counsel is always weighing this question: Do we want to take this case to trial and/or Arbitration. The more solid case you present, the more incentive for Defense to settle.

Experienced

In terms of my experience, I started my career clerking for a personal injury law firm. While in law school, I also worked for an Insurance Defense firm. Moreover, I have worked for firm which defended casinos. In these positions, I learned how Defendants build their case and formulate plan against those who have personal injury claims.

Over the years, I have truly enjoyed the role as Counsel for Plaintiff. Some of the larger claims concerned a Cleaning Company, Uninsured Claim (car accident), Local Mall, and a Laughlin Casino.

I truly believe “good things happen” to these people who make things happen. I would like the opportunity to pursue such claims against Insurance Companies/ Corporate Defendants that are negligent.

Persistance and Hard Work

My firm belief is that persistence and hard work “pay off”. By “building” a solid case, defendants are forced to pay fair compensation to settle claims.
